The Tampa Bay Youth Hockey Development Foundation supports youth ice hockey travel teams through player development and team needs. That includes organizing and supporting travel hockey programs, on-ice and off-ice training and conditioning, physical fitness instruction, and help with program expenses such as ice time, coaching, tournaments, and team equipment. We work with multiple youth teams in an inclusive environment.

The Foundation can help with youth hockey program costs that support player development and team operations. That includes ice time, coaching and instruction, tournaments and league fees, on-ice and off-ice training, team equipment and uniforms, and reasonable team travel tied to games or events. We pay vendors or reimburse documented invoices. We do not cover personal family expenses or give teams blank funds to spend on their own.

We cannot pay personal or household costs, give cash to a team or family to spend later, or cover items that mainly benefit one player unless it is an approved need-based award. That includes personal hotels, meals, and travel, private bills, undocumented reimbursements, and anything outside youth hockey development. Every request needs an invoice or receipt, and the Foundation decides whether it qualifies.
-
Yes. We can help youth hockey teams raise and manage funds for player development and team expenses. Money raised is deposited with the Foundation, tracked for that team’s program, and used for approved costs such as ice time, coaching, tournaments, and equipment. The Foundation handles the funds and pays documented invoices rather than turning the money over to the team.
-
No. Donations and fundraising proceeds are used for youth hockey programs and team expenses, not personal profit. All members and officers serve without pay or compensation from contributions. Funds are only utilized for approved expenses and operational costs.
-
The Foundation prefers to pay vendors directly, such as rinks, tournament hosts, and coaches. If a team or parent already paid an approved program bill, we can reimburse that cost when we receive the invoice and proof of payment. We may reimburse only part of a bill if that team’s fund does not cover the full amount. Any payment for services must be reasonable, documented, and tied to youth hockey programming. We do not issue funds without receipts.cription
